Denzel Washington said it best, “At the end of the day it’s not about what you have or even what you’ve accomplished…it’s about who you’ve lifted up, who you’ve made better. It’s about what you’ve given back.”
The Associates take the mantra “work hard, play hard” seriously. Any given day our agents are acquiring listings, attending closings or
connecting someone with their new home – and making sure the process is executed with ease. We host several events each year in Robert Elliott Custom Homes spec product and we have found this is an extraordinary way to network, create relationships and use this as a platform to help others.
We hosted an event at a Robert Elliott Custom home that included live music, exceptional food and hand-crafted cocktails, an exceptional group of people and an opportunity to raise money for abused and neglected children. Martin Lawrence Gallery filled the home with over half-a-million dollars worth of original artwork, Park Place brought out a one-of-a-kind McLaren and the bartender and guitar player had people entertained till we (literally) ran out of alcohol. There is an event in Austin every year, Ride. Drive. Give., that we wanted to make sure the Dallas community knew about and had a chance to buy tickets for. Ride. Drive. Give. is one of Austin’s most unique and exhilarating fundraising events.
Participants, sponsors and volunteers raised a record amount of $183,000, all to benefit young victims of abuse. The event hosted 90 participants at Circuit Of The America’s who were able to drive their own vehicles on the track and/or drive exotic cars like the McLaren 570s, Porsche 911, Turbo S, Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2, Audi R8 and Gerrari 458 Italia. Additionally, others got to ride shotgun with professional drivers in a Ferrari LaFerrrari, Lexus LFA (one of the fastests cars on the track), McLaren 675LT and a Corvette Z-06.
There is no shortage of thrills at this event. An event I personally look forward to every year. Which is why we jumped on the opportunity to host an event to sell ticke
ts to Dallas area residents. The event we held at a Robert Elliott Custom Home raised over $25,000 for young victims of abuse and neglect. If there’s anything I know for sure, whether it is real estate or helping others there is just nothing out there that isn’t made better by the generosity and hard work of other people. Knowing our hard work day in and day out made an event like this possible to help others makes late nights and busy weekends worth it. Thank you to everyone who contributed and we look forward to our next event.
